Public meetings of the Budget Committee of the City of Amity, to discuss the budget for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, will be held at City Hall, in the Community Center, 109 Maddox Ave, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m., and May 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. (if necessary).
Anyone interested in making a public comment is allowed to attend in-person. Anyone wishing to provide written public comment should send the comment to njohnson [at] amityoregon.gov (njohnson[at]amityoregon[dot]gov). The e-mail must be received by noon on the scheduled date of the meeting. Written comments received by noon on the budget meeting date will be included in the agenda packet. These comments will be acknowledged, at the appropriate time, by the Budget Officer or Budget Committee Chair. If a specific request is made to read written public comments into the record during a meeting, the Budget Committee Chair will be provided with a maximum of three minutes to read the comment during the meeting.
The purpose of the first meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comments from the public on the budget and the City’s use of state revenue sharing funds. A public hearing on the use of state revenue sharing funds will be held at these meetings.
At these public meetings, the Budget Committee will deliberate on the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year Budget. As part of these meetings the Budget Committee will take public comment at each session beginning at 6:00pm.

A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 7, 2026, at the City of Amity, City Hall, 109 Maddox Ave, Amity, Oregon, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday
